Final Fantasy XV: 6 Ups & 8 Downs

3. The Wonderful Musical Score

Though no Final Fantasy composer is going to ever be as revered and near-universally beloved as the brilliant Nobuo Uematsu, Kingdom Hearts composer Yoko Shimomura still did a fantastic job living up to his legacy while bringing her own distinctive voice to the series.

She manages to make the battles feel intense, the more fun, free-wheeling moments feel extremely relaxing, and tones down the emphasis on pianos a little that many have criticised her Kingdom Hearts work for.

Basically, the series is in fine hands musically if she remains in steady employ over Uematsu, though of course, everyone's not-so-secretly still hoping he'll make a return for the inevitable FFXVI.
