GTA 6: 10 Things Rockstar Must AVOID From Red Dead 2
10. Recycling Maps For Nostalgia Sake
After completing the main story line in RDR2, you could finally travel past Blackwater and explore the western area of the map.
However this area is a clear homage to the previous game, since there are no side quests and no clear objective to complete. All you could do is soak in the familiar lands of New Austin.
If you spent a lot of time in Armadillo in the first game, you'll see a stark difference. RDR2's Armadillo was dilipated, boarded up, and plagued by cholera. As John Marston in the epilogue, you couldn't help these people, nor influence them.
The residents will just stay curled up in the closed down train station or other assorted places, and stay that way. It's neat to see how landmarks evolved from one game to the other, but if it doesn't have much to offer gameplay-wise, does it deserve inclusion?
If GTA 6 is going to be taking place in Vice City, it is important Rockstar don't fall victim to this once more, and deliver a service in these areas that harmonises with the gameplay set up beforehand.
