It€™s a word that hits any gamer hard. Moral and bank balance shoot down at it€™s mere mention. Downloadable content is now a constant presence in gaming, from paying 62p for some coins in Temple Run, to paying the amount the game cost in the first place to get extra maps in Call Of Duty. And for the most part people begrudge paying to complete an experience they've already sunk a good wallet-full of cash into.

GTA IV is one game that€™s employed it in a successful and actually good value way. The Lost And The Damned and The Ballad Of Gay Tony altered the tone from Niko's story and introduced game elements sadly lacking from the main game.
