GTA V's new-gen overhauled bag of technical tricks is holding some serious texture resolution. There's 1080p all over Rockstar's advanced lighting upgrades, the new 3D foliage-system and sexy new car bodies. All this fancy eye-wizardry will surely make the game look substantially better in third-person, but first-person mode will bring us closer to in-game textures than we've ever been in a GTA game. Will all the upgraded details from GTA V that blew us away hold up up-close? We wouldn't put it past Rockstar to take full advantage of the perspective proximity, with more granular details like threads in fabric, and maybe even legible handwriting. Our cell-phones had live, in-game screens animating as we clicked through them. Surely that will translate into first-person as well, making selfies and calling other characters more of a simulation. It sounds like a trivial thing, but we'd honestly flip out if we saw our reflection in a car window.
