Thief does this brilliantly, achieving the industry standard for tactile, FPS controls and immersive physical awareness of one's virtual body. Having a tangible presence in a first-person game always makes us feel more physically grounded to the game world. Starbreeze's Riddick and Darkness games did it flawlessly. Halo has always achieved the effect admirably. When we look down in GTA V, we don't want our chin to stop us before we can reasonably see our feet... and there better be some feet down there! Okay... we're not Rockstar. We don't know how hard it is, but we do know that some modders somehow got this working on an Xbox 360 without Rockstar's help. There was some definite clipping through protagonist's heads, but you could see the player's body from certain angles, just like you should. How else are we going to admire all the ridiculous jackets we buy? Well, hopefully we can look at ourselves in a mirror, but we're not sure that Trevor looking back at us is great for our self-esteem.
