GTA V: 11 More Things You Didn't Know

4. Explosion, Damage, And Particle Effects Are Stunningly Detailed

When it comes to the finer details of total mayhem, Rockstar likes to give their players the keys to the city. We obviously don't need keys to steal cars, which is the whole point of grand thieving our autos - which is why metaphors should remain metaphors - but there is a city and you will be exploding things in it. Also... in everywhere that is not the city. Dirt, sand and water get kicked up in more realistic sprays. Fireballs, mangled debris and twisted metal fly apart in even more intricate ways thanks to refined deformation and extra pieces of things. Bullets tear metal more realistically. Windshields cave-in with incredible realism. Bullets leave bleeding holes in you. All of this aims to retain that trademark Rockstar-level of polish under the scrutiny of up close, first-person eyes.
