GTA VI: 10 Biggest Innovations It Must Have

By Jamie Kennedy /

1. Real Time Destruction Of The Environment

Remember how excited gamers were when the original Red Faction promised untold levels of environmental destruction way back in 2001? Or how about how giddy people in the gaming world started getting over Battlefield 4's ability to level buildings and generally wreak havoc on the world around the controlled character just a few short years ago? On both those occasions, there were limitations, and the hardware wasn't powerful enough that players could destroy absolutely everything. In Grand Theft Auto 6, one thing Rockstar must do is eliminate those pesky little walls and pieces of the environment that appear indestructible, because they really don't do much for the realism of the series. Whilst they're doing that, why stop there? It'd be jaw-dropping to bring down a skyscraper in GTA VI, or simply go around destroying buildings and state property. Obviously, things can be destroyed in past Grand Theft Auto games, but not to a satisfying enough level. The power of the PS4 and Xbox One should allow Rockstar to transfer that power over to the player, enabling them to destroy a building and have it stay that way.
