First shown off in 2013, I finally went hands-on with the latest build of Media Molecule's Little Big Planet followup, discovering this game design toolkit can result in some mighty impressive creations.

First up was "Please Hug Me", a setup where a small cube with arms struggled for a loving embrace as everything else on-screen ran away. It was contrasted against a text adventure where you attended a party, only to choose who to talk to and where to go. Another was a twin-stick shooter, and a fourth highlighted some ace cel-shaded graphics, as thicker inky outlines looked like something out of Clover Studio's Okami.

Though the devs didn't let us play with the customisable parts of the game to create anything from scratch, this demo proved that Dreams can make any game design idea you have into a reality.
