After four years of mobile iterations and relative silence from IO interactive, Hitman has returned, slicker, more streamlined and more resourceful than ever. Whilst a few newer moves such as taking human shields and shooting groups of enemies in one single animation have been removed, its all in service of giving 47 a refined set of abilities that respond symbiotically to your inputs, making this the best-playing entry in the series yet. Such a back to basics approach is evident in every aspect of the game, as across the board, from the name to the slick tutorial and tactile feel of controlling 47, you can comfortably improvise on the fly, coming up with new and impressive ways to off your foes through increasingly grizzly executions. However, in breaking up the game into multiple episodic instalments that will be released across the rest of 2016, it means right now, 'Hitman' as a retail product is comprised entirely of the aforementioned tutorial and an absolutely outstanding fashion show set in Paris. To get the most out of it you're going to need to embrace replayability, and that means knowing every single facet of the game itself...
