How Rockstar Should Make Bully 2

6. Play As Jimmy's Daughter

In terms of who to centre Bully 2 around, an obvious conclusion would be continuing Jimmy Hopkins' journey - most likely following his time at Bullworth Academy and sending him to college, presenting a new sandbox and larger campus to explore.

However, this idea is inherently flawed for several reasons:

Firstly, Bully's core gameplay and appeal focused on the inherently childish nature of the actions available to you. Once a student has chosen to engage in further education, there will be a lot less of that schoolyard mischief available, and shoehorning it in would feel unconvincing and contrived.

Secondly, one of Rockstar's strengths within their franchises has been to allow their characters' arcs to conclude and focus on others in their sequels. Think the largely unrelated protagonists in Grand Theft Auto, or the fleshing out of the Van Der Linde gang through the eyes of new protagonist, Arthur Morgan.

With this in mind, an ideal protagonist would be Jimmy Hopkins' daughter (possibly also Zoe's daughter as a lovely continuity nod) on her own journey through the ranks as a teenager.

Her arc would likely mirror Jimmy's to an extent, and the player could visit him at home; his life and relationships beyond Bullworth being fleshed out effectively.

How great would it feel to be able to head home for a weekend and do some story missions with dear old dad?
