LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 13 Exciting Details We Just Learned
4. It's More Complex Than Ever Before (But Just As Charming)
Playing the earliest build of the game (the GDC demo), it was clear that the gameplay wasn't quite fully refined, making for a harder experience (particularly in the Millennium Falcon arena play sequence) that was entirely welcome. I felt at the time that it was a positive evolution.
In the later demo, it wasn't quite as complex - targeting was more charitable, flying a little smoother, but the very addition of that sequence, in conjunction with multi-build and more taxing puzzles does mark a slight move to being harder.
That also makes for a more rewarding experience, as ever, but there's no compromise on the charm. Even as you have to complete several separate actions to help the non-jumping C-3PO climb a platform to hack a comms desk, his hilarious mincing walk is just irresistibly funny.
