Another thing dividing the fans considerably, is how we can't rotate the screen to at least use gyro controls more comfortably with two hands.

Fear not though, as the Android platform being a place of modifications and third-party apps has you covered. Just download "Rotation Control" by CrapeMyrtle, and you can force Mario Kart Tour into a horizontal view.

Now, there is the caveat of Tour being coded for vertical screen, so it practically cuts your view in half, but thankfully control schemes and visuals aren't effected.
