7. The Origins Of The Scorpion/Hanzo Hasashi Rope Spear

Noted in an IGN interview that dropped alongside the trailer, director Simon McQuoid and his team were fascinated by the origin of Scorpion's iconic "rope dagger" weapon.

The dagger has long been identified as a "Kunai", which McQuoid notes existed as a gardening tool for quite some time, before being used in media as something far deadlier.

As such, we get to see the origin of Hanzo crafting the spear - picking it up when Sub-Zero's Lin Kuei assassins come to his home - as he's forced to improvise.
