8. Splatoon 2 Is Coming Summer 2017
Splatoon 2 is coming this summer! Most of the leaks and rumours pointed to Splatoon being ported from the Wii U to the Switch, so seeing a legit sequel was a very pleasant surprise indeed.

Sure, it'll probably basically be more of the same but with new weapons and stages, but Nintendo have at least promised a ton of new content after launch and special timed events just as with the first game.
Given the immense success of Splatoon, at least Nintendo mostly got this right, though not making it a launch title was a colossal mistake.
