14. Knife A Licker To Down It For A Free Shot

First up, know that it takes a good 4-6 shotgun blasts to kill a Licker outright, but a bizarrely effective tactic to ensure you get another hit in, is to let them grab you.

Done by pressing L1/LB after you've been snagged - and with a knife equipped - you'll plunge the blade into their neck, and brilliantly, they'll fall down, completely vulnerable.

Note you can also completely pass Lickers by as their senses are based on sound and not visuals. Hold L2/LT to move even slower than the walk animation, and ever so slowly creep past to avoid using any ammo whatsoever.
