13. Grenades Are Better Defensive Weapons

The opposite of a logical statement for any other video game, in RE2, grenades are actually a supremely effective defensive weapon.

Like the knife and all sub-weapons, these are what you're equipping to either ready on L1/LB, but you'll also get the prompt when grabbed.

This means you can plug a zombie's face right up with a frag grenade or even a flashbang. The former will take their noggin clean off and into a neighbouring city, whereas the latter just phases them for followup hits.

Either way, if you were thinking - like old-school Resi has taught you - that grenades are more a liability than a useful weapon, that's completely changed.
