Located in Chemical Plant Act 2, we have quite possibly the finest boss battle of the year, and the finest callback of the decade so far - if not since 2000.

THIS, is how you pay homage to a truly random spin-off from back in the day.

Literally being a recreation of Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine (once again from 1993), you'll drop into the Puyo Puyo-style setup as Chemical Zone Act 2's main boss.

Ol' Robotnik's A.I. isn't too hard, but the duel does go on for long enough to breathe in precisely what you're playing, before getting your game face on for the win.
