The game on every PS5 owner's lips, Spider-Man: Miles Morales came out of nowhere earlier in 2020.

Boasting a meaningful continuation of where we left off in 2018, Miles himself is still learning how to be "the next Spider-Man", with Insomniac providing an expert blend of Morales' own comic book origins and hints of what we saw in Into the Spider-Verse.

Thankfully, the final product is pretty damn brilliant. Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a powerful showcase of what the PS5 can do, loading its entire New York City map in a couple of seconds, letting you hop between side missions and collectibles, and topping everything off with a simple Platinum trophy to call your own.

In terms of gameplay, 2020's Spider-Man comes with a host of new abilities - namely the idea of holding L1 to add a "Venom" modifier to punches, dash-grabs, launchers and area bursts, plus a super sleek camouflage toggle that completely changes combat.

I've had the pleasure of reviewing Miles Morales alongside the PS5 (of which you can find the game review here and the PlayStation 5 review here), but sufficed to say, there's a TON going on with this newest Spider-Man that you only figure out over time.
