6. Master Chief's Triple-Plated Plot Armour - Halo

In addition to wearing badass actual armour, Halo's Master Chief also rocks some of the finest plot armour ever made, considering how many times he's averted death against basically comical odds.

There are two especially egregious examples here. 

First off, Chief falls two kilometers to Earth from orbit at the start of Halo 3 and somehow isn't liquidated upon impact. That trusty Mjolnir armour technology seemingly coming in clutch once again.

And then there's the end of Halo 4, where Chief inexplicably survives activating a damn nuke in his own hands, being bailed out by Cortana, who encases him in a shield made out of hard light.

Then there's the numerous times that major enemies like the Didact and the Wardens have seemingly had Chief's number, only for something to end up saving his bacon.

The dude should frankly start playing the lotto with how aggressively luck appears to gravitate towards him. 

It's enough of a thing that numerous characters have even commented on Chief's luck throughout the wider Halo universe, almost as if to try and hang a lampshade on the whole thing.
