8 Most Insane Instances Of Video Game Plot Armour
2. Nathan Drake, The Luckiest Man Alive - Uncharted
Perhaps no video game character in history has escaped the clutches of death more than Uncharted's plucky protagonist Nathan Drake.
In regular gunplay the guy can absorb countless bullets without dropping dead, enough that Naughty Dog even had to come out and say that his health meter is actually a luck meter.
As in, Nate isn't really being shot when the screen blinks red - it's indicating that his luck has taken a hit, and when the meter empties out so too has his luck, allowing an enemy to land a successful fatal shot.
But that's really just the tip of the iceberg - this a guy who never should've walked away from that perilously hanging train in Uncharted 2, and dehydration alone would've ensured his corpse never left that desert after the plane crash in Uncharted 3.
Beyond this he's fallen off cliffs, been dragged through choppy waters, stared down entire death squads, and had his ass kicked enough times that he really shouldn't be among the living anymore.
