Wii U: 9 Hotly Anticipated Games That Actually Make It Worth Buying

7. Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash

Every Mario-themed sports title in existence is always going to be playing second fiddle to the petrol-headed Mario Kart series, and that's a shame, because there's some bloody good examples out there. Imagine taking the pomp and ceremony of Tennis' world-famous Wimbledon tournament and then infusing it with mushrooms (no, not that kind - doping is against the rules, after all), Koopas and Italian Plumbers and you basically have a Mario Tennis game. Leading on from the Nintendo 64 original, Ultra Smash is shaping up to be an excellent party game - even more so than Mario Party itself. Power-ups, including everyone's favourite - the Giant Mushroom - and likely more game modes than you can throw a book at are all to be expected. Now I just need to hope that the game will enable the use of the potato-headed Mii as characters - then I can make it look like Andy Murray and live out the dream of a Murray/Bowser match-up.
