WWE 13: 10 Attitude Era Tag Teams DLC We'd Like To See But Probably Won't
THQ's latest entry boasts an unrivaled 87 playable characters - the largest roster of any wrestling game released to date. But alas, we're still not quite happy.
With the roster for WWE 13 having being revealed on Saturday, there were a number of noticeable omissions, particularly in the Attitude Era Tag Team Department. WWE '13, THQ's latest entry in the brawling franchise, boasts an unrivaled 87 playable characters - the largest roster of any wrestling game released to date. But alas, we're still not quite happy. The Attitude Era was a magical period for tag teams in the WWF. Few can forget the three way TLC matches between the Hardy Boyz, Dudley Boyz and Edge and Christian, or all the gimmicks and quirks that came with them, such as Scotty 2 Hotty's ridiculous but loveable "Worm" finishing maneuver, Crash Holly's weighing scales or Kai-en-Tai's "Indeed!" catchphrase. Here, What Culture brings to you 10 of the most memorable Attitude Era tag teams who we'd like to see as DLC...
10. The Dudley Boyz
Sadly despite WWE owning the rights to the names of The Dudley Boyz, they were unable to include Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley in the Attitude Era roster due to the performer's themselves being currently signed to rivals TNA. Famed for their camouflage ring attire, their 3D finishing move and the quote "Get The Tables!", The Dudley Boyz entertained fans in the WWE between 1999 and 2005. They were involved in some of the best hardcore tag matches in memory - especially TLC matches - and most will remember them for their legendary tag-team feuds with the Hardy Boyz and Edge and Christian. After leaving the WWE, the former ECW superstars then went to TNA until 2010, where they disbanded as a tag team in favour of singles competition. Sadly, unless a last minute deal is struck between TNA and WWE (which it won't be), you will need to create The Dudley Boyz to include them.
