NXT Champion. Need anymore be said? Yes, PLEASE NAIL THE F**K OUT OF HIS ENTRANCE, 2K!
39. Buddy Murphy
They already have his character model built from last year's game so why let it go to waste when there are roster size records, very big roster size records at that, to be broken?
38. Pete Dunne
Merely because he's the current UK Champion and I think they'll be wanting to give that brand as much exposure as possible. Plus, I don't think a UK DLC pack has any legs whatsoever. I do however believe that Tyler Bate will also be included but spaces are at a premium on this list. It's clear WWE 2K18's roster needs to be a hell of a lot bigger than anything we've seen so far, isn't it?
37. Hideo Itami
Once more in the main event scene but with his future up in the air somewhat. A big summer for Hideo should see him into 2K18 even if he isn't going to be an employee of WWE's far past the game's release in the autumn.
Again, this is another character model already built from previous versions so why let it go to waste?
36. Johnny Gargano
Set for a main event summer after that beautifully executed split from Tommaso Ciampa, it looks like Johnny Gargano's proverbial iron might just about to become hot. It's up to WWE whether they strike it or not but in terms of WWE's video game at least I think they will.
35. Kassius Ohno
I know Kassius Ohno isn't really doing much on NXT TV but I think he's going to be a bit of a red herring on the WWE 2K18 roster. Sentiment plays a huge part in WWE and I think the reasoning behind his inclusion will be down to just that. After all he's done over the past 20 years for him to finally see himself in a WWE video game would be awesome.
34. Liv Morgan
Liv Moran might have fallen down the pecking order somewhat after the arrivals of the likes of Ember Moon and Ruby Riot but towards the backend of last year and the start of this she was on the RAW house shows which clearly shows she's highly thought of.
The timing of this 'behind the scenes' promotion might have just seen her sneaking into the WWE 2K18 scannings.
33. Rezar
You can't have one NXT Tag Team Champion in the game and not have the other. You also can't have one Author Of Pain in the game and not have the other - although it'll be interesting to see
32. Tommaso Ciampa
On his return from injury the former DIY man looks like being the perennial heel on NXT in his battles against former partner Johnny Gargano. This should be, if done right by the developmental brand, the rivalry that sees not just Pyscho Killer but Johnny Wrestling to boot prove their worth and gain promotion to the main roster within the life span of 2K18.
31. Wesley Blake
Yes, I know. You don't really care if Wesley Blake's in 2K18 or not but his character model is ready to go after being included in the last couple of titles so it will be in this one.
Once more, roster size records don't tumble if you only include the wrestlers people actually want...
So with 30 spots remaining it's time to move onto the legends meaning that in my world at least, should the roster be cut down into similarly sized chunks, we should be on for the single most appealing Future Stars DLC in the history of WWE/2K games.
