10. It's Already A Scrambling Apology

2K22 will be a struggle before it even hits shelves.

Why? Well, the aforementioned need to apologise and put things right hangs over the entire project like a bad smell. 2K know fine well they f*cked things up last time with 2K20, and they also realise they've got a lot of making up to do. Anyone who shelled out big bucks on the previous game deserves a personal "we're sorry" note.

This means that the developers could scramble to shove everything positive into the game they can think of. Some might not think that sounds too bad, but it could create an over-egged mess of a title that tries to be too many things at once. Nobody wants (or needs) that when getting back to basics is so crucial.

2K and VC haven't actually come out and begged for forgiveness yet either. They're clearly banking on 2K22 being a proper apology that makes everything better. Hmm.
