10 Wild Horror Movie Weapons That Made You Squirm

2. Bleach And Salt - Terrifier 2

For a slasher movie to separate itself from the pack these days takes something special, and the same thing can be said for a villain. The likes of Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, Freddy Krueger, and even Chucky are at the very top of the tree, and it wouldn't be talking out of turn to say that Art the Clown is well on the way to joining them.

The Terrifier franchise has been a surprise hit over recent years, with three big-screen outings coming since 2016, following on from a couple of short film appearances in 2008 and 2011.

Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton) has gained a very well-earned reputation for being unbelievably gory and violent, often too much for both mainstream audiences and hardened horror fans, with Terrifier 2's bedroom scene achieving the pinnacle of such outrage. The killer's attack on Allie (Casey Hartnett) has become infamous, and while it helped garner the project a lot of attention, it has been hotly debated as to whether it took things too far.

After skinning the young woman and removing her arm, you would have thought that things couldn't get much worse, but they do. They really do. After all of this, Art covered the already mutilated Allie in bleach and salt, something that was done for no other purpose than to make an audience squirm and wretch. It's easy to become acclimatised to the gore horror films can offer, but this went not just one, but a few steps further.
