10 Wild Horror Movie Weapons That Made You Squirm

10. The Stove - Scream (2022)

When the Scream franchise was reinvigorated in 2022 with a new outing for the first time in 11 years, it was a bit of a mixed bag. Moving the story away from Neve Campbell's Sidney Prescott was an intriguing decision, and while Jack Quaid put in a strong performance as Richie, it was rather obvious from the start that he was a killer.

However, there were also some great moments throughout that allowed it to improve upon the previous two entries, one such being the death of Richie's Ghostface co-pilot, Amber.

Mikey Madison's character found herself in a scrap with both Sidney and Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox), before the hob was inadvertently lit, and she was shot by the latter. The momentum took Amber onto the open flame, and in the next moment, she was covered head to toe in fire, shrieking as she was burned alive.

Arguably not a weapon in the traditional sense, as it was more of an accident than anything, but still, seeing Amber writhing in agony after being set alight by the stove was horrifying. There is something so unsettling about innocent household items delivering painful deaths, though it's arguably worse that she wasn't killed by this, as she had to endure the agony for a little while longer.
