14. You're Next - Erin Is Screwed

2011's cult classic slasher ends with Erin (Sharni Vinson) is one hell of a pickle. She's killed everyone responsible for a massacre at the family house of Crispian (AJ Bowen), her fiancee - as it turns out, Crispian was one of the conspirators and she kills him too. 

Unfortunately, during the battle she booby-trapped the front door with an axe-trap... and she doesn't have time to take it down before a policeman finally arrives and breaks through the front door. Despite Erin's pleas, he enters anyway and the axe swings. It then cuts to end credits, but it's pretty obvious what just happened to the luckless cop. 

The reason why the cop was trying to break in is because he'd just seen Erin kill Crispian and it's not exactly a stretch to imagine that Erin would've been arrested for his murder and several others too. It was all in self-defence and none of it was Erin's fault, but anyone who could back her up is now dead. 

In fact, director Adam Wingard originally conceived a sequel that would've started out with Erin under arrest, although this didn't ultimately materialize.
