18. Deputy Perkins - Scream 4

Two minor but memorable characters in Scream 4 are Deputies Perkins (Anthony Anderson) and Hoss (Adam Brody), who are both acutely aware that they're cops in a horror movie and therefore likely have limited lifespans.

Ultimately, Hoss is swiftly dispatched by Ghostface, seconds before Perkins realises what's going on and is stabbed directly in the forehead.

While this should cause an instant kill, Perkins actually survives long enough to stumble out of his cop car while clutching his gaping head wound. He finally collapses to the ground, but not before uttering his dying words, "F**k Bruce Willis."

This was a fun callback to Perkins and Hoss' prior discussion about how much it sucks to be a cop in a movie unless you're played by Bruce Willis. But even funnier than this is Ghostface standing on the sidelines and watching Perkins' prolonged demise with what we can assume is a mix of amusement and confusion.
