And somehow even worse than Mia's fate in Evil Dead 2013, we have poor Kassie (Nell Fisher) in Evil Dead Rise.

Though the film ends with Kass and her aunt Beth (Lily Sullivan) triumphing over the Deadites and emerging as the only survivors, let's spare a thought for the fact that Kass is basically setup for a lifetime's worth of grief-stricken trauma.

To recap, Kass witnessed the deaths of not only her mother but also her two siblings, not to ignore that they were possessed by Deadites and actively trying to kill both her and Beth.

Absolutely nothing can prepare a person, young or otherwise, to deal with that, and it goes without saying that Kass is likely going to need a whole ton of therapy and grief counseling to have anything close to a "normal" life.

But honestly, how many people would ever have even a faintest chance of getting over something so innately traumatic? The mere knowledge that Deadites are a thing that exist would re-shape your worldview in an utterly devastating way.
