8. Fall 2: Deadpoint

In 2022, Fall was a minor box office hit against its tiny $3 million budget and became something of a viral, word-of-mouth success once it landed on Netflix, enough that by March 2023 a sequel was confirmed to be in the works.

In fact, two sequels were announced to be in development simultaneously with the intent of launching a wider franchise.

Shooting was originally scheduled to begin in 2024, yet we heard little but radio silence until late 2025, when it was finally confirmed that the sequel had indeed been shot in Thailand earlier in the year. Peter and Michael Spierig (Predestination, Jigsaw) will direct, while the story focuses on a new protagonist, Jax Hunter (Harriet Slater), who is the older sister of the original film's doomed Shiloh (Virginia Gardner).

As for the mortal peril this time? Jax finds herself stuck on a plank walk in Thailand, a rockslide leaving her and a pal trapped 3,000 feet in the air with no apparent means of escape.

Fall 2 will finally release this September, and a third film is expected to go into production soon thereafter.
