20 "WTF Did I Just Watch" Horror Sequels

8. Piranha 3DD

Here is another absolutely terrible killer-fish sequel that you won't be able to forget in a hurry. 

While 2010's Piranha 3D largely avoided gags and played it all fairly straight, aside from the heightened gore and gratuitous nudity, 2012's Piranha 3DD (it's surprising they got away with that title as late as 2012!) goes down a far wackier route and leans right into the stupidity, to mostly groan-inducing effect. 

The piranhas attack a water park with a special adults-only section watched over by water-certified strippers, Ving Rhames' character (who'd seemingly died in the first movie but actually just lost his legs) fights the piranhas with shotgun legs, two unfortunate characters take part in one of horror's most disgusting sex scenes (if you know, you know), and, of course, there's David Hasselhoff's cameo. 

Playing himself, Hasselhoff is the celebrity guest opening the water park ("Welcome to rock bottom" he says to himself as he arrives) and, doing a slow-motion run to the Baywatch theme, saves a kid from the piranha attack, although he does so with difficulty - "Holy f**k, I'm getting old!" he exclaims during this. 

Once again, it's a dreadful film, yet it is so unrestrained in its craziness that you might find yourself grudgingly respecting it, if only a tiny bit.
