10 Amazing Hard Rock Songs Featuring Killer Guest Stars

3. American Jesus - Bad Religion

From day one, Bad Religion were never ones to go the glamorous route. This was the world of punk rock, and any time that you pulled in a major power player from the outside, it felt more like selling out than anything else. There is a way to do this kind of thing right, and Bad Religion definitely had their hearts in right place for American Jesus.

Then again, if you were to listen to the single version of this song, you'd be hardpressed to think that there was any guest on here in the first place. On its own, the blasting guitars and Greg Graffin's harsh voice just makes it sound like your typical Bad Religion affair, only with a grungy touch in the background. Helping provide those "oozin ahhs" in the background is actually Eddie Vedder, who was a huge fan and wanted the opportunity to play with the band at some point.

That's not even the last time that Eddie crossed paths with them either. A little further down the record Recipe for Hate, Vedder also manages to get an entire guest verse on Watch It Die. Though Pearl Jam were on the verge of blowing the roof off of the rock scene around 1993, Vedder never forgot about being a fan first and a rock god second.
