10 Biggest WTF Moments In 2000s Rock
10. Def Leppard And Taylor Swift
Formed in England in 1977, Def Leppard became one of the biggest rock bands of the 80s, with albums like Pyromania and Hysteria selling millions of copies worldwide. They were glam metal personified, with enough crunchy guitars and suggestive lyrics for everyone.
And then, in 2008, they played a stage show with a young singer by the name of Taylor Swift.
At the time, Swift was still firmly rooted in the country scene and was just weeks away from releasing her second album Fearless. She teamed up with the hard rockers as part of CMT Crossroads, a show that pairs country stars with musicians from other genres.
Other odd bedfellows include Kacy Musgraves and Katy Perry, Kenny Rogers and Lionel Richie, and Hank Williams Jr. and Kid Rock.
That last one sounds wild.
Swift accompanied Joe Elliot on tracks like Pour Some Sugar on Me and Photograph, whilst the band chimed in on some of Taylor's songs like Should've Said No and Love Story.
The whole thing was filmed for a DVD that came out in 2009, meaning that you can own this very bizarre piece of rock history.
