Kim Deal takes the reigns in one of the bands most iconic songs, from debut album 'Surfer Rosa'. Opening with the simple but effective bass line, and Black Francis' backing wails, 'Gigantic' is perhaps of the sexual interpretable Pixies songs. About a woman being in love with an African-American man, we already get an insight into some of lyrics. The title 'Gigantic'? 'A big, big love'? ' what a big black mess, what a hunk of love'? Make of it what you will, but what with it's unique subject matter, coupled with Kim Deal's amazing vocals, 'Gigantic' is standout track, both musically and lyrically.
