6. Relax - Frankie Goes To Hollywood

Early '80s Liverpudlians Frankie Goes to Hollywood released the track Relax in 1983 and well...it was weird and slighly OTT. The video showed the band going to a gay S&M bar were they were eyed up by muscular men and drag queens. The, um, highlight of the video came when an overweight man dressed as a Roman emperor gave the band a golden shower. The track was so controversial the BBC refused to play it- even though it was the biggest selling track for a five weeks. BBC Radio 1 DJ Mike Read also refused to play it on his show, branding it obscene.
