10 Most Overrated Metal Bands Of All Time
2. Limp Bizkit
You ever have that one band that has that certain anti-charisma? Like how everything seems to be fine on the surface, and then you get that one turd in the punchbowl that ruins the entire thing for you? If you're a nu metal head, chances are Fred Durst has been that guy for the past handful of years at this point.
Is there really anything more to say about what Limp Bizkit has done to music? Hell, Deadpool already beat your humble author to the punch with his dig on them in his movie 5 years ago. That doesn't stop everything they've done from sounding pretty cringy in retrospect, from talking about how dangerous they seemed to undermining other people's tragedies at Columbine on Head for the Barricade (seriously who would write a song with that line in it?).
What makes the whole thing even more unfortunate is just how much good potential is behind this band, considering Wes Borland is a master with a guitar in his hand and DJ Lethal already having a solid enough pedigree back from his days as the DJ behind House of Pain. Before Limp Bizkit, nu metal had already established its place in metal history. Once we got the rest of the world wearing backwards hats though, that's when we saw the entire thing start to become a cartoon.
