10 Most Overrated Metal Bands Of All Time

3. Asking Alexandria

For the past few years, metal doesn't really know what to do with a lot of its metalcore acts. Even though there are plenty of decent acts coming out of the woodwork to this day, the scene is so concentrated that it's hard to even tell some of them apart at the best of times. That's not to say that you can't at least recognize Asking Alexandria...just for all the wrong reasons.

Granted, it's not like these guys don't at least have a few bright spots at the end of the day. The amount of stuff they've done for their fans over the years is more than respectable for a band of their caliber. They do have one pitfall though...and that is Danny Worsnop. Every time the guy has opened his mouth to sing, most of the lyrics amount to nothing but shallow complaining about how no one understands him and that the people around him are the true problem.

Seriously, dude? I thought they we had already forgotten about this kind of behavior at the turn of the the '00s when emo brats started to pull this stuff, but apparently not everyone has learned their lesson. It doesn't look like the band is willing to budge though, considering they rehired Danny after a little while and somehow sound even worse during their big comeback run.

This is beyond just being a sellout. This feels like you're actively resentful of the journey you took to become superstars.
