You have to give credit to the White Stripes for coming up with this one. In 2007 the band decided to perform a secret show with a difference as the duo made known their plan and intention to travel through the city of Winnipeg, Canada, performing on a transit bus. A small group of fans joined the pair as they performed one of just a number of strange performances around that time. This was also the same year that the Stripes played in a classroom and a retirement home. Unlike most of the bands on this list there was certainly a full appreciation for the irony of the situation as a performance of "Wheels On The Bus" brought the house well the bus down. The White Stripes began in Detroit in 1997 and came to prominence partly due to the strange relationship between Jack and Meg White. What was originally rumored to be an incestuous relationship was later discovered to have been a former marriage which had ended in divorce in 2000. However, neither White believed the band's music should suffer just because their marriage had broken down and continued playing and performing. The bands tour of Canada in 2007 included all 10 provinces and was extremely comprehensive given their high profile. As expecte, their records sold in abundance and they were almost accepted as Canada's forgotten children.
