'Cop Killer' a rap-metal track by American band Body Count (fronted by hip hop legend Ice T) caused outrage and even provoked a reaction from then president, George W. Bush on it's release. The lyrics deal with an individual, so disillusioned by police brutality, that he decides to take matters into his hands and begins killing police officers. Similar to N.W.A's 'F*ck Tha Police' in theme, this is also an inflammatory record designed to create controversy. Protests over the song were so fierce that eventually Ice T himself withdrew the record from release and the Body Count album was re-released minus the infamous track.
