Some may disagree (you talented dicks), but learning to tap is hard. Sure, tapping one or two notes mid-solo is sort of doable and also feels pretty good when you do it, but full-on whole-song tapping is a completely new and super-difficult skill to learn. Moving from using a plectrum to finger-picking can be hard enough, but tapping is like starting over in terms of guitar-playing, especially when your guitar doesnt play ball with it very well (definitely the guitars fault. Definitely). The only answer is to keep practicing until your fingers ache and you want to throw your guitar out of the window in frustration, but it's totally worth it.
