2. The Internet - Hive Mind

If you look at all offshoot acts that came out of all-star hip hop collective Odd Future, funk band The Internet weren't the ones fans had their eyes on. However, following their surprisingly amazing first album, Ego Death, The Internet have created a body work that's stronger than the majority of the other artists to come from the group.

Hive Mind is very much a continuation of their debut, as lead singer Syd surrounds her exceptional vocal talents around a bunch of really incredible musicians. It would be easy for them to just focus on making Syd sound great, but each member gets their shine at some point, especially on songs like Roll (Burbank Funk) and It Gets Better With Time.

Considering they made Ego Death when the majority of them were still teenagers or in their early 20s, the group were always going to get more cohesive as a group. However, the amount they've grown between their two albums is exceptionally impressive.
