10. How Do Blind People Dream?

Whilst scientists are still not sure exactly what dreams are for, we do know that they tend to be generated by our waking experiences and could even be something to do with memory consolidation.

Tommy has been blind since birth, so the brain has never received any visual information and wouldn't know how to reproduce that as a dream. People who were born with some degree of sight and have since gone blind, however, can dream visually as the brain still has those memories to reproduce them.

For anyone, blind, sighted or partially sighted, dreams are just sleeping reflections of the waking experience.
