7. You Have To Insist It's Not A Matter Of Children Or Career
Not everyone wants to invest their time in parenting because they'd rather invest it by pursuing personal career goals. It's more than likely that if you're in a job that you love and you might not want to have children because you already feel fulfilled and you don't feel like you have a void to fill. Having said that, most people can juggle having a career and a family but not everyone is interested in the latter. Of course, people will argue that children and a job can't be compared, but if you feel like you're making a difference to thousands, maybe even millions of people across the world, then why should you be made to feel bad about giving that up to help one child? If you find the cure for cancer people will forgive you for not having any kids. But why should you have to find a cure for cancer just so people have a reason to accept why you don't have children?
