7. How The River Festival Seemed Like The Equivalent Of Glastonbury
The fact that the River Festival happens once every two years makes for a sore point amongst many Bedford residents. What do you mean every two years? Why can't it be EVERY year? When you were small, it meant begging your parents for a go on the seemingly sky-high inflatable slides; when you were a teenager it became an excuse to drink cheap cider and make out in front of the finale fireworks; and when you became a grown adult it was an excuse to act like a teenager again. The River Festival; surely Bedford's biggest and most impressive summer event - not to be confused with it's pathetic counter event, The Kite Festival, which no one really wants to go to.
