18. Mickey And Minnie's Runaway Train
Inspired by the new Mickey Mouse shorts, the Chinese Theatre at Disney's Hollywood Studios will soon be home to a brand new attraction.
Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Train will be take you on a journey into the world of Mickey Mouse and his friends. You'll be on a "zany out-of-control adventure" and experience new technologies that Walt Disney Imagineer Kevin Rafferty described as "game-changing".
Although glasses aren't required, Disney are referring to this as 2 1/2 D technology. Rafferty says that “This is one of the boldest…most impossible things I’ve ever worked on in almost 40 years of being an Imagineer."
There's no opening date as of yet, but rumours are this will be finished by the end of 2019. The Great Movie Ride will be taking its last trip into the world of film on 13th August as it closes to make room for Mickey and pals.
