The biggest game of the year by far - aside from the fantastic Scrabble - was Grand Theft Auto 5, which generated more than $800 million in its first day of sales. Of course, it was met with the same controversy as the others in the series, with MP Keith Vaz among others claiming that ""it is important that the video game industry takes steps to fully inform the public about the level of extreme content". Assassin's Creed IV and Pokemon X&Y also sold well in 2013.
2. Ron Burgundy Reigns Supreme Once More
Nearly ten years after the first movie, Ron, Champ, Brian and Brick returned for Anchorman 2, alongside an all-star cast that included cameos from Harrison Ford, Jim Carrey, Liam Neeson and Will Smith. The film has been one of the biggest comedies of the year, sweeping box offices at Christmas and seeing Will Ferrell honoured with an award at the British Comedy Awards. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost also returned in 2013 with 'The World's End', the final film in their Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy, which also garnered rave reviews.
