12. Everyone€™s Friends Come In To Hang Out During Working Hours

Bar work can attract a certain kind of individual, youths whose favourite pastime is €˜hanging out€™ with their friends in various degrees of untogetherness. Naturally, if Youth A has a job at your place, then Youths B, C and D may well choose to come in and cluster around the end of the bar impeding traffic and keeping the place untidy. They€™re a distraction and a nuisance, but they€™re also technically paying customers. You just have to hope that they didn€™t pre-drink (or worse) before they came in, because barring B, C and D because they€™re wasted on E will make A a total A to work with from then on.
