2. Hermione Granger

Strengths: Intelligent, practical, objective. Weaknesses: Overly serious, uptight, callous. Post-Voldemort Life: Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, Deputy Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement Hermione is the brainiest of the bunch, and that her unmatched skills prevent Harry from dying. So. Many. Damn. Times. From brewing Polyjuice Potion, to turning back time, to teaching Harry advanced magic, she€™s a plot Swiss army knife €” in Book 7 alone, her defensive cloaking spells keep the trio safe for months on end. If there€™s ever a messy situation, Hermione has a deux ex machina spell to save the day. The only reason she€™s not #1 is because she doesn't always bear up under pressure. In Book 7, she becomes an emotional wreck, bursting into tears at the drop of a hat, which isn€™t very Gryffindor-esque at all.
