With Arsenal expected to be weak and ineffectual due to their loss of Robin Van Persie and Alex Song, their two best players the season before, they have been saved by the talent of the Spaniard, who has acted as a real creative spark in all their games so far. Small yet strong, with great feet and pace, Cazorla was the main attacking threat in Arsenal's first two games, and produced an assist and goal to cap a marvellous display against Liverpool on Sunday.

8. Ricky Lambert

He's been scoring goals and dominating defenders for years in the lower leagues for years, but few expected him to get off to as good a start as he has in the most competitive league in the world. Scoring against the two best teams in the league, Lambert has been unlucky to be in the losing side each game so far, after carrying Southampton's attacking threat in the game against Wigan as well. Saints fans will be hoping the strikers good form continues.
