10 Football Records That Will Never Be Broken
10. Sharpest Sending Off
When you think of speedy sending offs, Steven Gerrard springs to mind. Coming on as a second-half sub in Liverpool's crucial game against Manchester United in 2015, Stevie G lasted just under a minute before receiving his marching orders for a stamp on Ander Herrera.
However, although the Liverpool legend will go down in history for a lot of reasons, this record of fastest red card won't be one of them.
Sitting not so proudly at the top of this unwanted table is the lesser known Lee Todd. Turning out for Sunday League side Cross Farm Park Celtic, the striker was sent off just two seconds into their game against Taunton East Reach Warriors in October 2000.
What was the reason you ask? Saying, "f**k me, that was loud," as the referee blew the whistle for kick-off.
Luckily for his side, his dismissal didn't affect the end result as they ran out 11-2 winners.
